[Tradjazz] Hi - just joining this list

Thanks to the cross-post by Ginny (Gluetje1) I just found out about  
this list.

I have been on DJML since a least 1996 so maybe a few of you all know  
me. I have been playing tuba in a variety of San Francisco/Bay Area  
trad/OKOM bands since 1977 and I was the host of "The Jazz Parade" on  
KFJC FM for about 23 years.

Trad jazz is not the only style of music I enjoy, but I do seem to  
find the most paying gigs in this genre. I was born in 1950 so I grew  
up with the rock'n'roll  - but my mother played Swing OKOM clarinet  
and sax in the 30s and 40s so I was exposed to her kind of music at  
an early age.

Anyway,  even though I am not currently doing my radio show now I am  
still interested in the history, performance, and enjoyment of OKOM!
