[Tradjazz] Bud Merrigold

Hello Bruce & Bill;

My life too was touched by Bud Merrigold. I remember meeting him at The
Hillside Lounge in Chester and at Bill Donahoe's for the Bix Stomp.

There was a long time after I left NJ for Maine that our paths did not
cross until he sent me an e-mail and a photo of me clowning around at the
Donahoe's. He had remembered me and sent the photo with the e-mail while
broadcasting a band in which I played, (probably the BBMJB) on WOKOM.
When I asked him if he knew the name of the fellow laughing at my antics
in the photo, he said he didn't know but he was obviously enthralled by
the master (of what I don't know). 

Most recently, he made a special effort to say hello at the Taggart's
last November at the recording session.

I don't know whether attachments are accepted by this list but I attach
the photo anyway.
