Hi GJB Fans,

It's this week! Don't Miss Any of it!!
July 27-29, The Great Connecticut Traditional Jazz Festival, Moodus, CT. Go
to www.ctjazz.org for details. We'll be there with Bob Price (banjo), Jane
Campedelli (vocals), Ben Griffin (trombone, Friday only), and Herb Gardner
(trombone Sat and Sun)! And so will the Blue Street Jazz Band, the Midiri
Brothers, the Bearcats Jazz Band, the Heartbeat Jazz Band, Igor's Jazz Cowboys, the
Wolverine Jazz Band, the CT Festival All Stars, Swing 39, Sarah Spencer,
Washboard Slim, and Art Hovey's 'Great Connecticut Youth Jazz Band'! WOW, what a
line up! It all starts on Friday, July 27th at 3PM, and ends at the finale
on Sunday 4-5PM. The GJB will be hosting the Finale, and we guarantee an
exciting finish to a great weekend of Jazz! There's a rumor that 2008 JazzFest
tickets will be sold at the finale, for $30 off the walk-in price! Remember,
this is a resort, and when you're not listening to the great bands, you're in
the huge swimming pool, or playing miniature golf, or boating, or horse back
riding, basketball, ping pong, horse shoes....phew!

Sat Aug 11th, 6:30-8:30PM (Please note the new time this year), Music MT
concert, Falls Village, CT., with Jim Fryer and Bob Price. If you've never been
to Music Mountain, please check it out this year. They have a picnic area
right on the grounds surrounding the venue. You can bring supper, and picnic
before the music starts. The grounds are beautiful, as is the scenic drive
there. The venue itself is like an old church, with comfortable, padded pews.
And, because the acoustics are so good, we always record the performance and
produce a CD, that you can be a part of! The band gets paid based on
attendance, so your support is EXTRA APPRECIATED! Call 203-496-2596 for details.
Read below about the *Music Mountain Free Family Festival on August 11th, just
prior to our performance.

SUNDAYS at Marisa's in Trumbull! We'll see you again on Sunday, Sep 9th,
6-8:30, once again with Jane Campedelli, and trombonist Harvey Tibbs! Be sure to
make your reservations early, like yesterday! Remember, there is no cover
or minimum at Marisa's, but because the food is fabulous, you're going to want
to order dinner. Marisa's is very easy to get to: take the Merritt Parkway
toward Trumbull, get off at Exit 48, head north for about 3 miles, and it's on
your right. This is a good size restaurant, with plenty of seating and
parking. From Guilford, it took me only 35 minutes to get there. Marisa's
address is 6540 Main Street, Trumbull, CT 06611. The telephone number is
203-459-4225. Call now, before it sells out again! Only one other date scheduled
for 2007, Sunday, Oct 21st!

The Beachhead Restaurant, 3 Cosey Beach Ave East Haven, CT. We're doing it
again! We'll be back on Sunday, Sep 30th, 6-8:30PM. Call 203-469-5450 for
dinner reservations right away. This is a great spot, with great food, but
limited seating, so make your dinner reservation now!! And yes, the owners have
promised to make room for dancing this time! Check out the Beachhead's web site,
beachheadct.com.

Bill Logozo's Heartbeat Jazz Band will be at Olivers in Essex on Thursday,
August 2nd, 7-10PM, with Skip Hughes and Bob Price! This is a great spot, nice
casual atmosphere, and good food at a reasonable price. Of course the music
is hot hot hot! Dancing too! Look for them at Olivers the first Thursday
of each month. Contact Bill Logozzo at Bill @nutmegchrome.com for information
on the band and how to order CDs.

* MUSIC MOUINTAIN FREE FAMILY FESTIVAL

MUSICIANS, DANCERS, PUPPETS AND MORE COMING TO MUSIC MOUTNAIN

Falls Village, CT. Music Mountain is gearing up for this year's Free Family
Festival to be held on Saturday, August 11 from 11am to 4pm. This admission
free event will feature entertainment for all ages, taking place
simultaneously on the lawns and in acoustically perfect Gordon Hall, with music by the
Bergonzi String Quarter playing Carnival of the Animals, the Capriccio Bopero
Dancers, the Locos Dance Company in costume, performing “Iolanthe “ and a rare
performance of old time favorites on the musical saw, among many other
diversions. Children will delight in interacting with the wandering Mortal Beasts and
Dieties, the grumbling Gryphons, and Jugglers Heidi and Joel who perform
while on stilts. And Many Others. A silent auction will offer items including an
Alvarez Model #RD8C, cutaway steel string acoustic guitar with built in
pre-amp and equalizer for direct link to PA or recording gear. Stock tuning pegs
were replaced with high quality Grover machine heads. Included is a hardshell
case. This item comes from a local recording studio which purchased it for a
recording session and never used it. Retail value is $399.00. Also to be
auctioned will be one pair of London Audio reference speakers, diPolito
configuration (Twin 6-inch drivers, one high dispersion tweeter). The
manufacturer no longer exists but the minimum resale price for this was $1400 when it
was marketed two years ago. This would make a superb main stereo or home
theater surround sound speakers. The third item in the silent auction will be
four tickets to a Music Mountain concert with box lunches for each person.
Admission and parking is free. Food by the Falls Village Fire Department and Ice
Cream from the Mountainside Café. For more information just call 860-824-7126
