Hey Bruce!
First, I want to thank you for responding to sooooooo many prayers in a
positive manner.... :-)
Glad what ailed ya didn't have permanent ramifications!
Second I was very sad to hear that my old dear friend Charlie Stevens died.
I was with Lazotte and Charlie at the black olive for many months at a time.
Was honored by the presence of Ben Bova from CBS science dept and my all
time favorite SCIFI writer, Isaac Azimov. They both dug jazz and needless to
say, I was all over them between sets!
Jan and I will be up in western MA between May and October next year. Please
consider getting together????
Warmest,
The wild one

TRAD JAZZ NEWS
JACQUES-IMO'S
After many many years, our long run of Sunday Brunch gigs at Jacques-Imo's
has ended. Seems as if they've lost their lease. There's a lot of that going
around these days. The New Orleans based Jacuqes-Imo's plans to open a place
in Queens. We'll keep you posted.

THE GALVANIZED JAZZ BAND
I've played with the very best musicians around and I've seen dozens of
groups. That's made me into a guy who ain't easy to please. Each time I hear
the Galvanized Jazz Band, I am reminded that they are the tops! DO NOT MISS
A CHANCE TO SEE THIS VERY SPECIAL GROUP.
Recently, I heard a copy of one of their latest CDs (they have many) which
features Skip Hughes (trombone & vocals) and Jimmy Mazzy (banjo & vocals).
To my delight, this is even better than I've ever heard them before (hard as
that is to believe).
