Fundraiser in Clinton

On Saturday, Sep 29th, THIS SATURDAY, The Galvanized Jazz Quartet with Russ 
Whitman, Art Hovey, Fred Vigorito, and guest banjo/guitar player Steve Keeler 
will perform 3:45-6PM at the Old Brick Building, 103 East Main Street, Clinton 
(outside, weather permitting, or under a tent) for the Clinton Historical 
Society. It's $20 per person, and the money will help pay for a new roof for the 
building.  The event will include wine and cheese, the “Clintonion Derby”(a 
spoof horse race), and a horse comedy routine.   So, please join us in Raising a 
glass to Raze the roof!   Take exit 63 off I95, make your way to route 1 Main 
ST), turn left on W Main and go to 103 E Main, the Old Brick Building.

We're back at the the Beachhead Restaurant, 3 Cosey Beach Ave East Haven, CT. 
this  Sunday, Sep 30th, 6-8:30PM, with guest pianist Jan Frenkel, from the US 
Coastguard Jazz Band!  Call 203-469-5450 for the dinner reservations WAITING 
LIST because it's SOLD OUT! This is a great spot, great ocean views, great 
food!  And yes, the owners have promised to make room for dancing this time! 
HERE'S A TIP-Get there early and order your dinner early!  Check out the

SUNDAYS at Marisa's in Trumbull! We'll see you on Sunday, Oct 21st, 6-8:30, 
with trombonist Skip Hughes!   Be sure to make your reservations early, like 
yesterday!   Remember, there is no cover or minimum at Marisa's, but because the 
food is fabulous, you're going to want to order dinner.  There's dancing too! 
  Marisa's is very easy to get to: take the Merritt Parkway toward Trumbull, 
get off at Exit 48, head north for about 3 miles, and it's on your right.   
This is a good size restaurant, with plenty of seating and parking, and a nice 
dance floor too!   From Guilford, it took me only 35 minutes to get there.   
Marisa's address is 6540 Main Street, Trumbull, CT 06611.   The telephone number 
is 203-459-4225.   Call now, before it sells out again! This is our last 
performance at Marisa's for 2007!

Special Beachhead Performance on Friday, Oct 26th, 7:30-10PM.   The 
Galvanized Jazz Quintet will be there   (maybe in costume!) for this special Halloween 
performance.   For this performance, there will be a $10 cover charge.   Call 
203-469-5450 for details.

Bill Logozo's Heartbeat Jazz Band will be at Olivers in Essex on Thursday, 
Oct 4th, 7-10PM, with Skip Hughes ! This is a great spot, nice casual 
atmosphere, and good food at a reasonable price.    Of course the music is hot hot hot!  
 Dancing too!   Look for them at Olivers the first Thursday of each month.
