My biography of New Orleanian Kid Howard - trumpet man for many years with
George Lewis - is now published by Jazzology Press of New Orleans and
included with it is a CD of previously unreleased tracks and an interview
with the Lewis band.
The book was written with the help of Howard's family, his friends and
colleagues in New Orleans and also with the very great help of DJML members
to whom I will be eternally grateful.
Copies are now available for purchase from the Jazzology web site and I am
be able to supply a few signed copies directly to enthusiasts in Europe.
The book is a strictly limited edition and it's title - for the record -
is - "The Hottest Trumpet - The Kid Howard Story by Brian Harvey".
