Dear Ross,
Not true old mate.
I am co-producing (with my dear friend Graeme) a 2-CD set of 43 of his
original compositions (1947-2007).
Hopefully it will be out in May-June.
Although I became interested in jazz in 1945, it was during the lead up
to the first European trip by the Graeme Bell band that I heard live
jazz. They hooked me and, as a mid-teenager, I followed them everywhere.
This led to a life-long friendship, not only with Graeme, but the rest
of his musicians and friends.
They introduced me into the Melbourne (Australia) inner jazz circle and
I have been a dedicated member ever since.
Kind regards,
Bill.
